About us
The Gröschner Rico Del Valle family acquired this extraordinary late Baroque half-timber house from 1765 in 2018 – with the conviction of becoming the guardians of this special place for future generations. From the very beginning the vision was clear: to open the house for culture and people. On the ground floor you will find the public cultural center – a meeting place for everyone. Art and creativity are part of the family's everyday life – the daughters as artists, the parents passionately alongside them. Throughout the house you will find family art, discoveries from the house's history and restored pieces – because here we prefer to preserve, restore and continue stories rather than buy new. The Gröschner family actively supports projects around art, culture, peace and inclusion – firmly believing that culture brings people together.

The Kunst & Kulturresidenz offers two completely private holiday apartments – each apartment is fully independent, just for you. Apartment 2: up to 7 people , Apartment 1: up to 4 people, Facilities: Both apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and washing machine, flat-screen TV, free WiFi, bathroom with shower/bathtub, towels, bed linen and hairdryer. Guests also have access to our garden with terrace and outdoor furniture. Coworking: Our unique coworking spaces – cosily furnished like living rooms inside a historic Baroque house – will be available to guests from 1st July 2026 for a small additional fee. Location: The house is located directly next to the Schlosspark. The castle is 6 minutes walk away and the picturesque old town is easily reachable on foot. Celle train station is 900 m away, Hannover Airport approximately 37 km. Please note: The building has no elevator – stairs only. No parking available on site. How we started
Es war ein ganz normaler Tag, als die Familie Gröschner an diesem gelben Fachwerkhaus vorbeifuhr. Das Haus lag im Dornröschenschlaf – still, vergessen, wartend. Jemand sagte im Scherz: "Sowas wäre schön!" – und alle lachten. Noch am selben Nachmittag suchten sie nach Häusern in der Celler Altstadt. Nur ein einziges Objekt erschien in den Ergebnissen. Dieses hier. Also entschieden sie sich, es anzuschauen – und noch während sie durch die Türen gingen, war klar: Es war Zeit, dieses Haus zu wecken. Für Menschen, Kunst und Begegnung. Seit 2018 ist genau das ihre Mission.
It was an ordinary day when the Gröschner family drove past this yellow half-timber house. The house lay in a deep Sleeping Beauty slumber – quiet, forgotten, waiting. Someone joked: "Something like that would be lovely!" – and everyone laughed. That same afternoon they searched for houses for sale in Celle's old town. Only one result came up. This one. So they decided to take a look – and as they walked through the doors, it became clear: it was time to wake this house up. For people, art and connection. Since 2018 that has been their mission.

Hinter der Kunst & Kulturresidenz steht nicht nur eine Familie – sondern ein ganzes Team aus Freunden, Familie und Menschen, die diesen Ort mit Leben füllen.
